Icon Emailchemy 9.8.7

Emailchemy is a utility that helps you regain ownership of your email. Emailchemy reads email from the proprietary formats of the most popular (and many of yesterday's forgotton) email applications and converts it to a standard, portable format that any application can use.
The primary idea behind Emailchemy was to convert all the various proprietary email formats to The One True E-mail Format - RFC-822 (recently updated to RFC-2822, but we'll still refer to it as RFC-822 to avoid confusion). This is the official Internet/ARPAnet standard for email that has been around since 1973. However, Emailchemy was built with a "pluggable" architecture that allows it to easily convert to other formats as well.

Icon eMail Verifier 3.1.1

eMail Verifier can save time and money for businesses who send newsletters to their clients, nonprofit organizations who send bulletins to their members, or any person or business that needs to maintain a clean e-mail contact list.
eMail Verifier works on the same algorithm as ISP mail systems do. Addresses for e-mail are extracted from a Domain Naming Server (DNS) and eMail Verifier tries to connect with SMTP-servers and simulates the sending of a message. It does not send the message though - eMail Verifier disconnects as soon as the mail server informs the program whether the address exists or not.

Icon FileChute 4.1.2

FileChute makes sending files easy. Just drag a file and drop it on FileChute. FileChute puts the file on your MobileMe account and generates a web link for retrieving the file all in one step. Next drag the generated link into your email and you're set to go. And since what you're sending is just a link, your recipients can retrieve the file from a Mac, a PC or any other platform.
FileChute works best with a MobileMe account, configuration is super easy. But since not everyone has a MobileMe account, FileChute also works great with other FTP or WebDAV-accessible web server. Perform the one-time set up by following the built-in Help. Once it is properly set up, FileChute works just as perfectly with non-MobileMe servers.

Icon GnuPG 2.0.11

Mac GNU Privacy Guard (Mac GPG for short) is, after a fashion, the Mac OS X port of GnuPG, licensed under the GNU GPL. The aims of the project are to make GnuPG easy to install, develop a framework to make it easy for other developers to incorporate GnuPG functionality into their applications, write services to allow for the use of GnuPG functions in most Cocoa applications, and write a Mac GPG Keys type application so that you no longer have to go to the commandline to manage your keys. For those who don't know, GnuPG is a free OpenPGP client (PGP == Pretty Good Privacy). It can encrypt text (usually e-mail or other messages sent between people) and sign text to prove who wrote it. A further discussion of this can be found elsewhere.

Icon Mail Forward 4.1.8

Mail Forward allows you to forward mail from AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, MSN, and Yahoo web mail accounts to any e-mail address. Standard POP e-mail accounts can also be forwarded.
Mail can be forwarded for up to 20 separate accounts. For each account, a forwarding address can be specified or a default destination can be used.
Mail Forward works by accessing your web mail or POP mailbox and forwarding each piece of mail through your SMTP mail server. Mail that is successfully forwarded can be deleted from the mailbox, or can be left on the server. The original mailbox address is used as the return address for the forwarded mail, so if the mail is undeliverable it will be returned to the original account.
A built-in scheduling feature allows mail to be forwarded automatically at a specified time interval.
Mail Forward also includes a basic scripting capability that allows you to use AppleScript to automate the forwarding of e-mail.

What is Nisus Email? Nisus Email is a simpler and different way of looking at email - "Email for the rest of us." Let me explain...
Ease of Use
Nisus Email makes email easy. With Nisus Email's Finder like interface and easy Three Click Send you don't have to be a rocket scientist to use it.
Integration With Word Processor
Makes sending email from your favorite word processor ("Nisus Writer is my favorite..." repeat that over and over) as easy as saving a file. Instead of using your email client to compose messages, use your word processor.
Integration With Other Applications
Nisus Email has several ways in which you can send emails from within other applications. In fact, any application that supports either Drag and Drop or file saving can be used to email a file or message. All this is done quickly and without leaving the application you are currently working in.
Nisus Email is like any standard email client in that it manages your emails, but the similarities end there. The most noticeable difference is a tiny global window that always stays visible no matter what application you are in. This window is the main interface with Nisus Email. This means that where ever you are, Nisus Email is ready to go.

Icon NotifyMail 5.1

NotifyMail is an application for the Macintosh and Windows that sits patiently until the mail servers lets it know that new email has arrived. Once this happens, NotifyMail can tell your email client to check for mail, play a sound, or run an application.
NotifyMail is a new mail notifier; it works in cooperation with your server to notify you immediately when new mail comes in. It is not an active checker like your email client (Eudora, Emailer, Mailsmith, Outlook Express, etc.), but a passive listener, listening for a cue from the server when new mail has arrived.
Aren't there other programs like NotifyMail out there?
As far as we know, there are no other products currently on the market that do what NotifyMail does. There are many products that have "mail" and "notify" in their names, but all those products go out and check for mail every few minutes.
In order to function properly, your mail server must support NotifyMail. Before installing NotifyMail, please check the following list to verify that your server is listed. If you have a question about what kind of server you are using, please contact the postmaster of your domain.

* AppleShare IP 6.x running on a Macintosh

Icon POPmonitor 2.1.3

With POPmonitor you can take a peek inside your mailbox and delete unwanted e-mail without the need to download those messages first. Just login, select the unwanted messages and click 'Delete'. It's as simple as that.
You can also automate the removal of unwanted messages by creating lists of trusted and blocked senders and by creating custom filters based on several criteria. Another option is to bounce spam right back to the sender to simulate a non-existing e-mail address.
Other e-mail applications only filter spam after downloading it to your computer first. But thanks to POPmonitor you can get rid of annoying spam and other unwanted e-mail before it reaches your e-mail application.

Icon SpamSieve 2.8.1

SpamSieve gives you back your inbox by bringing powerful Bayesian spam filtering to popular e-mail clients. It learns what your spam looks like, so it can block nearly all of it. It looks at your address book and learns what your good messages look like, so it won't confuse them with spam. Other spam filters get worse over time as spammers adapt to their rules; SpamSieve actually gets better over time as you train it with more messages. SpamSieve doesn't delete any messages - it only marks them in your e-mail client - so you'll never lose any mail. SpamSieve works with any number of mail accounts, of whatever types are supported by your e-mail software (e.g. POP, IMAP, Hotmail, AOL).

Icon SpamStopper 1.5

SpamStopper is a web designer's utility that will help keep email address harvesting spambots from grabbing email addresses from your website(s).
How does it work? SpamStopper encodes the text of your email address so that it no longer looks like an email address in your HTML, which makes all the current harvesting spambots ignore it when they scan internet pages. Basically, indexing spiders look for certain email address - identifying characters, and SpamStopper makes it so that those characters aren't displayed - it's pretty much that simple.
All you have to do with the SpamStopper application is enter your email address and optionally specify the email subject and link text you would like to be displayed. Then you just click the "Convert" button and you get the encoded output - ready to copy and paste into your site creation tool of choice.
I need to emphasize that this program is for WEB DESIGNERS - it doesn't do anything associated with sending an email message or encoding your email address for use with your email application.

Icon Thunderbird 10.0.2

Mozilla Thunderbird is a redesign of the Mozilla mail component. Our goal is to produce a cross platform stand alone mail application using the XUL user interface language. Our intended customer is someone who uses Mozilla Firefox (or another stand alone browser) as their primary browser and wants a mail client based on mozilla that "plays nice" with the browser. In addition, by focusing solely on stand alone mail, we believe we can make some dents in the overall footprint and performance of the mail client by removing components and chrome we don't need. On top of that, the UI becomes much cleaner as a stand alone application as opposed to being part of the mozilla suite.

Some of the coolest features:
* edit the "From" field when composing a message
* edit lots of default strings such as the quoting character ("> " default), and the reply subject prefix ("Re: " default)
* force Eudora to use RFC-standard forwarding markers
* allows internationalization of a few things
* add your own headers
* adjust disk usage
* change attribution strings
* change text file creator code for saved files (e.g. to BBEdit)
* change format of date & time display in mailbox windows
* lots more - the plugin adds TEN new Settings panes!
