Audio Interface 1.1
Audio Interface is a control panel which uses Apple's PlainTalk technology to speak the contents of menus and dialog boxes. By moving the mouse over menu items or dialog box items, you can have the name of that item read to you. I wrote Audio Interface with the hope that at least one user may have an easier time using the Mac. Although it's not targeted at totally blind users, many users with bad eyesight hopefully won't have to squint up to the screen every time a dialog box appears or a menu is pulled down. Of course, it can also be used for a little fun!

Keyclick 1.4 beta
Keyclick is a Mac OS X preference pane that provides subtle but important feedback for each keystroke the system recognizes. Years ago keyboards were made with premium key switches that provided a resounding click when a key snapped over. Today most keyboards are made using rubber domes which can provide a similar force displacement or tactile feel, but not the sound. Human factors work on video terminals in the 1980s showed that the perception of keyboard crispness is correlated with audio feedback. Keyclick provides that feedback while improving on the original.

In 2002, KeyStrokes was the first AT product for Mac OS X. It has provided access to Mac OS X for people with motor-challenges who could not use a physical keyboard. Over the years it has developed into the gold standard for on-screen keyboards. We are happy to report that with macOS High Sierra (10.13), Apple will include an on-screen keyboard that will provide essential on-screen keyboard functionality right inside macOS.
Once macOS High Sierra (10.13) is publicly released later this year, you can find these features in the Accessibility panel of the System Preferences. Because macOS 10.14, the next version after High Sierra, is expected to only work with 64 bit native applications, KeyStrokes will not be able to run on 10.14.
We expect to discontinue the sales of KeyStrokes after macOS High Sierra (10.13) has been released.
