Allenroids is a freeware Asteroids clone written in OpenGL. Allenroid's graphics are done in a "retro" style, which is a fancy way of saying that I have no idea how to produce something lifelike (there goes my Pixar career). However, I like the arcade-game feel I wound up with.
Apeiron X 1.0.3
A much embellished clone of Centipede. During a port through the looking glass, the mirror shatters and your ethereal energy (you know, the stuff that allows you to get up and go to work on a Monday morning...) is trapped within one of the crystal shards. Immediately, the residents of the mushroom patch sense your presence. Lead by the Pentipede, this motley crew of mushroom patch misfits relentlessly hunt the crystal ( You! ), intent upon sucking out the trapped energy. The Pentipede is a sinister creature that has the ability to divide. So, if you think your troubles are over when you shoot this sneakered psycho once, you are twice as wrong.
Argonaut 2149 1.2.1
Join the lucrative trade of crystal mining! Navigate through deadly asteroid fields, do battle with menacing pirates and loathsome scavengers, and gather wealth for the purchase of powerful weapons and power-ups in this arcade style asteroids game.
Armagetron Advanced 0.2.8.3.2
"A Tron clone in 3D" This has been the tagline of Armagetron, since, well, a very long time, and is probably the shortest and most accurate description possible. Tron was an arcade game based on the movie of the same name, release by Disney in 1982. The original game consisted of 4 sub-games, the only one of concern is the 'Light Cycles' one, in which the player uses a left/right joystick to control a 'Light Cycle' which leaves a wall behind it wherever the cycle goes, turning only at 90 degree angles. The player must then get the AI to crash into their wall while avoiding hitting the AI's own wall themselves. Those were the humble beginnings of Armagetron Advanced's game play, which has now blossomed into 16 player mayhem, with highly advanced AI, network game play, and of course all in a 3D environment.
Atomic Cannon 2.6
Atomic Cannon is a fun arcade game that is easy to learn but difficult to master. In this strategic tank artillery duel you battle against computers or friends on 25 different landscapes. Players take turns aiming and firing at each other with over 85 weapons of mass destruction including nuclear bombs.
You can blast your enemy with a vast array of weapons. Some weapons create landmasses you can use to your tactical advantage to hide behind as cover. Your arsenal is outfitted with numerous types of weapons including guns, bombs, missiles, rockets, and nukes.
The landscape you battle on is randomly generated each round and can be destroyed in real time for real scorched earth. There are six types of land formations including flat, hill, gulley, plateau, slope, and random. Each formation can be in one of the game's 25 diverse environments.
BOOM is an arcade game in the grand tradition, bringing the playability and feel of the glorious 8-bit consoles on the Macintosh. It can be described as "Bomberman meets Doom". Actually, I took the basic Bomberman idea and dropped it in a "Super-Deformed Doom" scenario (whatever this means). As a space trooper your mission is to penetrate 8 alien infested areas, each one divided in 10 sub-zones, eliminate all enemies using your bombs and finally kick the Big Alien Boss back to where he came from.
Brickles Pro 2.0.3
Brickles Pro for Macintosh is a simple, addicting, ball and paddle game reminiscent of the breakout game of days gone by. Brickles Pro is fun for the whole family. It's a non-violent, colorful, "soundful" and amazingly customizable game.
Bub & Bob X 1.5
Do you know 'Bubble Bobble', the classic arcade game also available for C64, Atari ST or Amiga? Well, Bub & Bob is a 90% clone of it. You are a little green or blue dinosaur and catch your enemies in bubbles you can shoot. If you let them burst with your back thorns they become fruits. There are many extras to enhance your abilities like fast shots or speed up. The best feature of the game is that two players can play together.
Bubble Trouble X 1.1
Yes, it's squish or be squished -- and there are plenty of would-be squishers just waiting for you to get your feet wet: Piranha and starfish and eels, oh my! But don't worry little fishy, there are plenty of power-ups and goodies you can hook your fin onto to give you a bit of an edge.

Chopper is an Action packed side-scrolling helicopter game. Complete your mission, and return to base, while avoiding enemy fire from tanks, bazooka wielding mad men, and jets.
Fairy Tower 1.1.7
Fairy Tower is a magical construction that was built in ancient times. It used to create strange, magical items. But one day it collected all the items it had created and sealed itself.
There are four gates in the tower that are for the Water, Earth, Light, and Wind Spirits, respectively. The tower works only through the union of the power of all four spirits.
Colibricks is an exciting brick game for the Macintosh. As in other similar brick games, the goal is to destroy the bricks on the screen using one or more balls. But for the first time in brick game history, these balls actually behave like real balls! When a ball hits the corner of a brick, it doesn't just go back in the direction it came from. Instead, the exact point of impact is calculated, and the ball bounces off the corner just like a real ball would. Balls also collide with each other, again using precise mathematical formulas.
Gish isn't your average hero, in fact he's not your average anything... see Gish is a ball of tar. A Sunday stroll with his lady friend Brea goes awry when a shadowy figure emerges from an open man hole and pulls Brea into the ground below. Following Brea's calls for help Gish suddenly finds himself in the subterranean sewers of Dross, a long forgotten city filled with twisting corridors, evil traps and some of the most demented creatures imaginable.
With his gelatinous structure as his only means of defense Gish must follow the echoing cries of his damsel in distress deep into the earth below. What freakish creatures dwell in this subterranean land? Who is Brea's captor? And just how far down does the rabbit hole go?
Life isn't easy when you're a 12 pound ball of tar...
Glider, the award winning Macintosh game is back.
Glypha III 1.1.2
A well done Joust clone with an Egyptian theme.
Welcome to GooBall! Roll, jump, and slime your GooBall through dozens of fanciful worlds of wonder as you control the cutest little alien around, the Goober. Being trapped in a gooey ball of protoplasm has never been this fun!
Be careful not to "fall out" over the edge of the world, pick up jewels along the way for extra lives, and have a blast as you roll and jump around like a wrecking ball in a china shop. Use the GooBall's "sticky" mode to slime up walls to reach otherwise inaccessible areas and goodies, or use it as an emergency brake when you start rolling too fast!
Jets'n'Guns Gold 1.222
An evil mastermind and his crazy pirate army emerge from the darkness and threaten to destroy the whole universe! You are the only one standing between them and the total annihilation.
Go for a ride with this insane side scrolling space shooter with more than 40 levels, dozen of awesome spaceships to choose from, and over 70 over the top weapons to equip in the war against lunatic evil overlord!
As for the game itself, it's the old classic worm game, played in non-euclidean space. That is to say, it is played on the surface of various three-dimensional shapes. It's a pretty simplistic game, and it's old enough to use no hardware acceleration of any kind, so performance may vary (on my Mac, it's leaves something to be desired). There are a lot of tweaking options to play with, though.
A great souped up version of the classic Asteroids. This Macintosh classic is what put Ambrosia on the map as the leading Macintosh shareware publisher. The dreaded Maelstrom is a dangerous asteroid belt within which you must skillfully pilot your spacecraft.
3D Pinball game with lots of amazing effects and options. Enjoy MacPinball's sleek design and cool features, solo or competing in 2 player mode.
Missile Command 1.0b
Missile Command is a version of the classic game... Missile Command. I never actually played the true Missile Command, but Avadis Tevanian Jr's MacMissiles or Mac Command from 1985 was an important part of my childhood. I hope he doesn't sue my pants off for shamelessly ripping off his old icon for the game.
Monster Fair 1.2.5

The aliens knew they would look like monsters to the people of Earth. To avoid frightening them, the aliens learned to change their appearance and blend in with human society.
