Most programmers are familiar with transporting data by hitting Ctrl-C (or Command-C) to copy to the clipboard, then changing applications and pressing Ctrl-V to paste. But what if you wanted to share a clipboard between two different computers on a network? Sure, you could paste to a file, save the file in a central location, open the file on the other machine, and then highlight the data again and Copy and Paste...
Or you could just use a neat little program called CrossClip.
CrossClip runs transparently in the background (on each computer) and performs both sending and receiving functions as necessary, which means the data can be sent in either direction between computers. Transporting can be set up to be triggered automatically, or manually via mouse-click from the CrossClip menu (for those times when you don't want every Ctrl-C to be broadcast to all the other CrossClip applications within the network group).
There's no fancy compiling necessary, just use the effortless installer. Oh, and did we mention that this works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux... or even between them on the same network? Cross-platform clipboards, now that's news!
CrossOver Mac allows you to install many popular Windows applications and games on Mac OS X. CrossOver includes an easy to use, single click interface, which makes installing Windows software simple and fast. Once installed, your application integrates seamlessly in OS X. Just click and run your application directly from the OS X Finder. Clicking a Windows file or document - including email attachments - will launch the appropriate Windows program, allowing you to work on the files. Best of all, you do it all easily and affordably, without needing a Microsoft operating system license.

Just launch Wormhole on both machines, and you're ready to go! Wormhole automatically locates the other one, and a colorful "wormhole" window appears on each computer. Drop the file you want to transfer onto one "end" of the wormhole, and it will are immediately be transferred to the other!
Wormhole is multiple-computer friendly. It can copy Windows to Windows, Windows to Mac, and Mac to Mac (Mac to Mac copies even copy the resource fork correctly!) And since Wormhole is implemented completely as an application, there are no extensions or DLL's to mess up your computer.

Most Macintosh applications unfortunately create QuickTime files which are not compatible with Windows and not Web friendly (i.e. not recognized by the QuickTime plug-in). To avoid this problem, the movie files must be 'Flattened', which means that the file resource is placed at the beginning of the file. To flatten your files you can use QuickTime Player Pro and choose the 'Save as...' command, which allows you to save flattened movies. This becomes quickly boring if you have many movies to change. Lillipot is a simple and useful tool that has the same effect as the 'Save as...' command, but with one single click!
Lillipot also removes all dependences on external files to your specified movie. Drag and drop all your movies on the lillipot window, then start the batch process by clicking on the 'action' button.
